Port Macquarie Adventist School is expanding its education offerings and now includes secondary education. Our current program offers up to Year 10.
Our secondary program is designed to provide a challenging and well-rounded curriculum that will prepare students for success in their future endeavours. We offer a holistic education that focuses on the person and academic growth of each student. Additionally, our secondary program includes a range of extracurricular activities and opportunities for students to explore their passions and interests.
We are excited to see the growth in our secondary program so that students in our highest grades can now stay at PMAS right through to the end of their schooling.

Secondary students have the opportunity to participate in carious extra-curricular activities at the school including sports carnivals and inter-school zone carnivals.
Music tuition is available for students who would like to continue – or start – learning an instrument. This is facilitated by private tutors that attend the school during the day, to save you transporting your child to music tuition after school. Costs and availability can be discussed with the tutor directly.
Wellbeing
Here at Port Macquarie Adventist School we are committed to providing quality and inclusive learning opportunities for all our students, placing a high level of importance on nurturing student wellbeing and positive mental health.
We have a strong team of experienced teachers, support staff and chaplains who take time to get to know and understand each student. They provide mentorship, guidance and foster belonging and involvement, which helps each student develop a strong sense of positive wellbeing.
The school’s therapy dog, ‘Koko’ is a valuable contributor of joy, loyalty and companionship, too. A wellbeing program is delivered across the school from Pre-Kindy to Secondary to help students manage relationships, feelings and self-care.
School Camps
School Camps are a large part of our extra-curricular program and are run in stages across 2 years.
Stage 4 (Year 7 & 8)
- Emu Gully – The Challenge is an exceptional leadership and team building program based on the character values of Courage, Mateship, Sacrifice and Perseverance. Based on historical events and theatres of conflict including WW1, WW2 and Vietnam.
- Sydney Trip – a week long adventure in Sydney that takes students on a learning journey around the CBD, using public transport to visit some of Sydney’s most iconic attractions, including Taronga Zoo, Sydney Tower, The Harbour Bridge and Cockatoo Island.
Stage 5 (Year 9 & 10)
- Emu Gully – The Adventure program is an authentic adventure experience that develops resilience, tests character and requires leadership and teamwork. The activities are based around Australia’s military history and deliver profound learning moments.
- Year 10 – Amazing Race – The camp will incorporate many challenges that will develop confidence, teamwork, and friendship.
