Real agency. Real support.
Every step of the way.

A secondary education built around your teenager — not the other way around.

Choosing a high school for your teenager means asking a harder question than “will they get good grades?” — it’s “will they be known, backed, and given room to grow into who they actually are?” At Port Macquarie Adventist School, that’s the whole design.

Belonging

Small enough that every student is known by name — not just by their teachers, but by the whole school community.

"I definitely do feel like I belong here — there's a lot of loving people here that make you really feel at home."
— Indy, House Captain

Bespoke Learning

Subjects are increasingly shaped around student voice, what a student wants to pursue drives what gets built around them, not the other way around.

"With our class sizes, teachers have been able to tailor an education focused to our specific learning needs and styles, helping us each grow individually."
— Riley, High School Captain

Balanced Lifestyle

Room to lead, room to compete, room to just be a teenager — academics come first, but they're not the only thing here.

"Music and language will wake up both sides of your brain. I've been lucky enough to teach both of those at our school... So if you want your child to achieve in life, get them to play an instrument. Whole body learning."
— Amanda O'Brien, Music Teacher

Student-led subject selection

Our senior subjects are increasingly driven by what our students want to study, not a fixed one-size-fits-all list. If there’s genuine interest, we build around it.

Distance education, fully supported

Where a subject isn’t offered on campus, students can access it through distance education providers — with PMAS teachers and dedicated study sessions built into the week, so no one is learning it alone.

"The school really catered to that. It opened up the opportunity for him to take control of his learning and really develop his own set of skills."

Support & Wellbeing

A strong team of teachers, support staff and chaplains take the time to get to know and understand each student, offering mentorship and guidance that fosters real belonging. Our therapy dog, Koko, is part of that too.

Experience it for your family.

The best way to know if PMAS is right for your teenager is to walk the halls, meet the teachers, and see how a personalised education actually works.
